10m WSPR DX

For a change I went onto 10m WSPR today and was rewarded with a -26dB S/N report from FR1GZ on Reunion Island (9724km away) when I was running 5W to the halo.  Interesting to note the Doppler shift on the signal (and also on the signals from FR1GZ) which suggest movement of the equatorial F layer.

Earlier in the afternoon ZD7FT was a reasonable signal on 10m SSB from St Helena and there were several VE and W's on 15m SSB.

I have always wanted to work St. Helena as I went there in 1999 but have never made a contact with the place. Too many bands, too many modes and not enough time!

Hello Roger, I was too late on 10 meter when I noticed there was Es on 10. I saw on the activity page of WSPR: G3XBM 0.430608

Paul, I just switched from 500kHz to 137kHz and the database averages the last two frequencies!

Hi Roger,
This afternoon, I was seen by FR1GZ too (on 28.12613 MHz). Time 12:12 utc today. Signal -31 dB. Weak but i was TX-ing with 10 Watts only into a simple dipole ant. Quite amazing.
