This is probably more of interest to USA readers? According to Southgate News there is a DXpedition to a small island off New Orleans in square EL58hx. This is a very small uninhabited island that can only be accessed via a boat. No doubt the IOTA hunters will be pleased (NA-168).

Easter Island
Recently seen:
"From September 26-30 some LU amateur radio an LF MF DXers will be operating in CE0Y.
Hamradio from 80 to 6 meter maybe 160 meter. TX RX
VLF LF MF listening with R-75 and Perseus SDR recording WAVs from 100 KHz to 1710 KHz at night times . Not grabber online.
Maybe: Notebook+SpectrumLab with antenna via Mic in for VLF.
Antennas: Loops and Beverages 200-600 meter long to…. ??? meter long. maybe Kite antennas.

Flotta Island IOTA
Southgate Amateur Radio Club News reports that the Orkney Amateur Radio Club is activating Flotta Island in the Orkneys mid July. I am not a great DX chaser, but I can understand the motivation behind IOTA. Of all the DXing activities, this is the one I could imagine doing.

Topo Lighthouse EU-175
Just worked CU5T on 18MHz CW in the Azores. He gave me 599 when I was running 5W. This was the S.Jorge DX'pediton 2009 station to Topo Lighthouse.
