40m regen receiver kit from OK land

OK1CDJ's version of my simple 40m regen receiver
Ondra OK1CDJ has been in touch again recently and he mentioned that he had built a version of my 40m regenerative receiver and is now supplying a kit of parts in the Czech Republic via www.hamshop.cz. There are some nice photos of Ondra's version built into a small tin box.  My original circuit is at https://sites.google.com/site/g3xbmqrp/Home/regen although I admit I was inspired by W2UW who used this circuit before me in his amazing FET-1 transceiver.

Lambda diode circuits

Mike Rainey AA1TJ has some good tunnel diode ideas on his pages but these devices are hard to find these days. Instead one can create a negative resistance device called a Lambda diode with a couple of FETs or an FET and a transistor. See for example the pages of Ramon Vargas Patron at http://www.zen22142.zen.co.uk/Theory/neg_resistance/negres.htm where he has examples of oscillators and regenerative receivers using Lambda diodes.

Update from W2UW on his 20mW transceiver

My FETer (1 FET transceiver for 80m) appeared in SPRAT this month. The circuit is very much based on a 40m transceiver created by Glenn Yingling, W2UW. His original 40m version, on which mine was heavily based, is called the FET-1. Today I got a nice e-mail from him with an update on his results.
Dear Roger, I was surprised to see your little article in the sprat mag about your FETer, it was interesting. I am glad to see that you credited me.
By the way, you might be interested in knowing that I have made 451 QSOs with my little rig. I have not met my goal of working all of the states east of the Mississippi river. HI I still have 4 to go (Fla., Ala., Geo., and Miss.) They are way down there! I may have to wait until the next "peak".
I am 81 yrs. old and still think radio is "magic". Hi
