The dahlia garden at nearby Anglesey Abbey is now open. These are some of them. 

The area in front of the dahlias is grassed and this gets very churned up after wet weather.

The dahlia garden at nearby Anglesey Abbey is open at last. Our neighbour has had dahlias out for weeks. The ones in the photo were some we saw this morning at Anglesey Abbey.

Yesterday, I posted a photo of my neighbours dahlias, but I could not resist posting my wife's collage today. 

At the moment, they are at their best. Given a week or two, they will be gone until next September.

In the UK, dahlias flower mainly in the autumn. Our neighbour always has a good show. The ones in the photo are in his garden now. We can enjoy them from the lounge window.

Yesterday, I posted a closeup collage of the dahlias at nearby Anglesey Abbey. Today, I have a shot of the whole dahlia border.

These dahlias, in the dahlia border at nearby Anglesey Abbey, are usually stunning, but they were very late this year. 

I think they held them back, but there were also late frosts and a lot of wet weather.

Our neighbour always grows some spectacular dahlias in his front garden. This year is no exception.

On our visit to nearby Anglesey Abbey this week we saw these dahlias. I expect they will soon die. 

They have been in bloom for several months.

This morning we went for a walk at nearby Anglesey Abbey. The dahlias there are past their best, but still pretty impressive.

Recently we had new neighbours across the road. They planted some dahlias in their front garden and they look lovely.
