Dusk on Shetland - NOT amateur radio

My friend Richard Lewis posts some amazing shots on 365project

The days are short and the wind can really blow, but he comes up with shots like this!

Tempus fugit - NOT amateur radio

At the start of each month there is just one photo of mine for the month on 365project.org . After, what seems, a blink the month is full.  Tempus fugit.

365project - NOT amateur radio

One of the pleasures of 365project.org is seeing some wonderful photos from around the world.

One of my friends is Elizabeth Saeter who lives in Norway and posts some splendid photos especially of sunsets. As an example, see the photo attached.

Shetland spring - NOT amateur radio

One of my friends on 365project recently posted this photo. The idea is to post a photo each day.

Some use it to improve their photography. We use it as a visual diary.

It is totally free, although access may be made private for a small annual fee.

My wife and I have each done it for 13 years. It is good to look back over the years. I love it.

Shetland Islands - NOT amateur radio

As you may recall, I enjoy 365project where people try to post a photo (totally for free) every day. One of my friends lives in the Shetland Is.. He often posts dramatic photos of landscapes as well as birds. This photo shows Lerwick, which is the capital of the Shetland Is.

I have done 365project for over 10 years and it is great to look back!

Another amazing photo - NOT amateur radio

What I really enjoy about 365project (no affiliation at all with Microsoft) is seeing the variety of photos from all over the world. Some use it as a visual diary, others as a way to be creative. It is absolutely free, although ace membership (paid for) offers some privileges.

This amazing cloudscape was posted a few days ago by a friend.

Faroes - NOT amateur radio

These islands are located between the UK and Iceland. It must get very windy and cold. On 365project, one of my friends posted this view of the capital (Torshaven) on a sunny day. There is absolutely no association of 365project with Microsoft.

365project - NOT amateur radio

One of the pleasures of 365project, where you add a photo every day, is seeing the photos that other people add. This was added by a friend earlier.

Beautiful sky - NOT amateur radio

Who would ever thought electricity pylons could be beautiful?  This was posted this morning by one of my friends on 365project, where a picture is posted every day. I have done it now for over 10 years.

St Ninian's Isle, Shetland - NOT amateur radio

One of the people I follow posted this photo on 365project today.

Shetland is the most northerly point in the British Isles. It is often subject to gales and colder weather than places further south.

365project - NOT amateur radio

As mentioned before, for about 10 years I have taken part in 365project. The idea is to post a picture every day. Unless you are an ace member it is totally free.

This photo was posted today by a friend in the Shetland Isles, which is the most northerly part of the British Isles.

Trondheim, Norway - NOT amateur radio

For about 10 years now I have done the 365project. Every day we post a photo.

This photo was posted by someone who lives (I think) in Norway. It is interesting to see how people use 365project.  My wife and I use it as a visual diary, whereas some use it to show their photographic prowess. We would never win on that count!

Seagulls - NOT amateur radio

Seagulls are everywhere now. They even go well away from the sea, with rubbish dumps being favourite places.

They also like to flock behind tractors on farms after seeds as in this photo that was posted on 365project earlier by one of my friends, Susan Wakely.

I like the clever use of black and white with just a pop of colour.

Shetland Islands cliffs - NOT amateur radio

This photo was on 365project earlier.

It was taken by a friend in Shetland. There are few trees there, partly as it is so exposed and windy.

365project - NOT amateur radio

For about 9 years both my wife and I have done 365project. We use ours mainly as a visual diary.

The idea is to add a photo every day. It is interesting to see our grandchildren grow a day at a time over all this time.

Yesterday my wife met up with an old school friend she has known for 61 years. She introduced her to 365 some years ago and loves it.

The English pub - NOT amateur radio

The English pub is often the heart of the community. This photo appeared on 365project.org recently. Apparently, the men were more than happy to be photographed.

It looks like they are having a good chat (along with the dog!) over their pints.
