The big-wheel is a horizontally polarised antenna with some gain. It is an array of half-waves, suitably matched.
It is ideal for this and regularly gets a long way even with my QRP.
Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.
Most EV and battery manufacturers are trying hard to increase range and reduce costs. We hear today of yet another breakthrough. In my view...
