Earlier this afternoon I thought I had ordered a UV K5(8) transceiver from Aliexpress for the bargain price of just £0.98 with free airmail postage.
At this price (well below the price of a coffee) I thought I could not go wrong.
Later, I read the reviews. One pointed out that all you got was the antenna, despite it implied you got a full transceiver for this price. This is a total scam.
I cancelled the order immediately.

This month alone I have received an ‘free motorists kit’ offer from supposedly the AA (they had my details!), but total scam. Free ‘first aid kit’ offer from Boots Chemist - total scam as I never buy from them. This list goes on, easy to tell most scams as their internet address is suspect. Season of good will? haha. A few years ago I ordered an item advertised on Facebook sadly I received a bag of leggo pieces!!! I was shocked that FB allowed scammers to advertise freely on their platform, I sent in a complaint and never received any response. The idea behind this particular scam is that they can prove that 'an item' had been delivered as per tracking and they can claim they delivered what you ordered. Luckily I purchased via PayPal and opened a case, took a while, the vendor offered me a 50% discount (the nerve!) which I promptly rejected, eventually I received a full refund from PayPal.
