630m antenna current meter fixed

Just mended my 630m antenna current meter. G0VQH (15km) is reporting me 2-3dB stronger. I think there were dry joints. I am finding soldering much harder nowadays- a combination of old age, eyesight and my 2013 stroke!

As my modified FT817ND does not allow me "split" operation for some reason, I am currently TX only with WSPR on 22% TX.

UPDATE 1841z: 6 spots of me so far this evening. I think my ERP is about 10mW.

Have you updated WSJT-X?

Source from IO groups:

"It appears that Split Operation using Rig mode is not functioning correctly in both versions 2.3.1 and 2.4.0-rc4. Running Split | Rig with my Yaesu FT-817 when switching to transmit the FT-817 switches from VFOa to VFOb however the frequency in VFOb does not change from whatever was in it from the last "good" split operation. At the same time on the main WSJT-X window the split mode indicator is on and the frequency display changes on transmit to what you would expect it to be even though the VFOb frequency is something entirely different. Split Operation using Fake It mode functions as expected on these versions"

It seems the problem is gone after update to 2.4.0.

Hi Roger,

You should use your IC-705?

Found with my 705, I only need 300-400mW drive to get 12watts out your transverter design.

Loved my FT-817ND but after using the 705 for sometime now, my 817 just wasn't getting the use it once did.

Maybe I should try split again?
