We are about half way through the Es season in the northern hemisphere. Although there have been some good openings at times, the impression I have is that overall things have been below average.
Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.
In my opinion we have just passed the solar peak. We can expect a few years of good conditions, but I expect the trajectory to be slowly dow...

Not shure about that. There have been good openings in the first half of the season although it has been combinations of ES, multihop-ES and tropo. Worked Argentina, Paraquay and Uruquay on 6m at the end of may, that might be tropo I guess. I know several stations in my neighbourhood worked south Africa and Namibia in April, tropo again. Last evening there was a good opening to England on 4m, which must be ES. Unfortunately many spots on PSKR but only one station really active. 73, Bas
