Every few weeks I take a peek at the narrowband activity on Oscar 100, the geosynchronous satellite. My own view is activity is patheticall...

QCX and open source gives a clue. Hans Summers QCX is a single band CW transceiver.
Some clever amateurs found that they could use software make it work on sideband. They then discarded a lot of components from the board which they didn't need.I think Hans was impressed with their programming and made the basic boards available for those who wanted to have a go.
This rig looks like a multiband development of that project. I don't know how Hans feels about that given his QSX is still in pre-production development. His QSX is designed to tight specifications. Perhaps this rig may require additional filtering on the output.
