Hi Roger,
I remember reading a later blog of yours where your tests at your new QTH did not work. I presume you never found out why? I remember the interest fired up in me when you were still active and I faithfully built a copy of your 5w af amp/qrss tx around 9khz. I went on to build even more powerful amps cumulatiing in over 200watts to my earth probs. I even went as high as 475khz band and wspr mode but all to no real discoveries or contacts. I guess my probe separation of 5m was far to small. Still, it was all good fun. I once lived close to the River Thames and got about 0.5 miles in the 1960s. I am in the process of clearing out my attic for a potential QTH move and all that gear will have to go, along with 40 years of abandoned projects!!
