Swift nestbox - NOT amateur radio

Although we still see swifts (migrant birds from Africa) numbers are way down as there are fewer places to nest. A friend has erected a swift nestbox and I may do the same in time for next spring.

Worth doing. Thanks to our obsession with cosmetically perfect property, there are few nooks and crannies left for birds now. I have a specially cut hole in the roof timberwork that allows birds in. The number of swallows around this year is extremely low.
