First reports from Dayton are disappointing with few new products announced. As the years progress, it would not surprise me if some Japanese companies leave the amateur radio market, or even go bust. In many countries it is an "old mans" hobby with fewer buyers, so a diminishing market. Some are clearly struggling already.

Less Doom & Gloom Mr L,
Your forgetting the new K4 from Elecraft... and of course the Yaesu FTDX101 is now full steam ahead in production.
Isn't Hans G0UPL about to put the QSX kit into production too?

Yaesu for mortals (i.e. those of us who can't afford the FTdx101) and Kenwood and ICOM???? At $3999.95 lowest price for the K4, it is out of my range and that of many others. I was (still am) hoping for some announcements for average people, although I am doubtful.
QSX though Mr L, for scrooge pockets!
