Reading Southgate News today I see that Sony is getting out of shortwave radios. As far as I know, Sony is the first Japanese manufacturer to leave HF. Sadly, I am sure others will follow including some of the big players in the Amateur Radio market.

Who bought the Sony stuff at their gross inflated prices? Especially when the Chinese manufacturers like Tecsun have invaded the market at a massive price reduction for the equivalant that is quite well made.
