Hi Roger,
- How you match the impedance of the antenna ??? (It is necessary a classic "variometer" as used with "marconi" antenna ??)
- is the position of the TX (middle point or near a electrode) important ???

I used 3C90 step down transformer (42mm toroid) after resonating a loop. For an earth-electrode antenna I used a step UP 3C90 42mm transformer with tapped secondary. At old QTH the ground was close to 50 ohms and no transformer was needed. No variometer needed.
My 3C90 toroid is located in my shack.
