M0UKD's version of my 472kHz transverter
It is always pleasing to see other versions of my designs being successfully built. This evening I chanced upon M0UKD's website showing his nice version of my 472kHz transverter. He added an output for a frequency counter which is a useful addition. John gets around 12W out, which is about right.

Tell us about your "squarer" circuitry on the transverter. How and why? Thanks
R. Delehunt
The squarer circuit ahead of the PA is to help drive the FET device with an on/off signal to help efficiency: the PA is either hard on or off and not lingering around in between dissipating heat.
Hi Roger.
Well, I chanced upon this post just now! Thanks for a great transverter design, its working great and the output looks fine on the scope.
Very well done!
