Went to a UK dealer on the weekend to purchase a FT-891 for POTA. Asked them about FTX-1F, they said Yaesu hasn’t given them any news and they wouldn’t be surprised if it would the end of the year before anyone sees one.
From what I understand, Yaesu won’t release the FTX-1F anywhere in the World until they have FCC approval in the US, and with the current disruption in the US Federal government they have no idea when that might occur. This decision was based on problems with previous radios being released in other markets before FCC approval had been received, and then having “grey” versions appear in the States which upset the FCC.
