Ripening? - NOT amateur radio
This year our tomato plants have been a failure with very few turning red. The green ones are on the windowsill to ripen. If this fails it will be green tomato chutney!!!

I grew many tomatoes on my balcony in New York City.
I ripened my green ones, with still some vine, in a bare (not used, in the dark) kitchen cabinet with two bananas.
It takes a month or more but it werks! (works- with NYC accent)
I grew grape tomatoes and gave them to my bosses for lunch.

BTW- You can still eat the green ones in fried foods or soups.
They will definitely not be wasted!
