The 200mW beacon was turned on at about 1900z. UPDATE 1948z: Many spots of me by EA8BFK (2880km). At the peak I had about 28dB in hand!

This is fascinating stuff. The price, although high for an individual, is not bad for a club or interest group. One suggestion I heard was for an LF active probe RX on 136 or 500kHz and TXing the received signal back to earth.
