If we vote to leave the EU I shall not be too surprised.
The REMAIN campaign has been very negative and focused on the harm to the UK if we vote to leave and not the benefits of being "in the club". A vote to leave will probably mean that Scotland will want another referendum and lead to the break-up of the UK. If we leave the EU then I think others will follow and the Euro will collapse.
It is entirely possible we could vote to remain in the EU. One thing is certain: the outcome is too close to call. It is possible David Cameron will continue as UK Prime Minister for years to come. On the other hand we could see Boris as PM as early as November. What is certain is that politics is changing. If we leave I suspect a lurch to the right politically will occur. This is happening in many EU nations and this is dangerous.
Although my XYL and I voted IN (remain) the outcome could go either way. The EU cannot continue as a weak protectionist club. It has to change or it will fall apart.

EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
As we are away on the day when voting takes place, we have voted by postal vote. I posted my vote off today. I am sure the outcome will be close.

EU referendum June 23rd 2016 - NOT amateur radio
This has not been an easy decision. There have been lies and errors on both sides of the debate. My considered view taking a long hard view of the facts as I can discern them is to vote IN that is remain in the EU.
Yes, there is a lot wrong with the EU but my considered view is we are better off IN than outside. In the coming years we need to work towards changing the EU from within, so that there is more focus on efficiency, a common market and less on a United States of Europe, unless those who want it continue down this path. Leave the rest to strive for a level playing field. As far as the UK is concerned we, of course, want peace in Europe, but this should come by removing trade barriers and not a U.S.E..
There has been a lot of poor debate in this referendum build up.

EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
As the vote get closer I really do not know how to vote. All the major politicians recommend staying IN, yet there is so much wrong with the EU. Leaving would certainly mean uncertainty in the UK, but I suspect the EU will fall apart within years if we leave. There are real issues within the EU: the Euro, profligacy, inefficiency, all those unnecessary laws. At the same time, the EU is a voice of good. No, it is not an easy decision.

The EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
With only a few weeks to go, the outcome is hard to judge. Yes, the EU
needs to reform, we are probably better off as a nation IN the EU than
out of it, the campaign has been poor, leaving the EU would be hard but
not a disaster.

EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
There is a poor quality debate on this matter. We vote on whether or not to remain in the EU in less than 10 weeks but the quality of the arguments is very poor.
The UK has looked towards the EU as a common market and never with a view to a political union. Many in Europe see it as a way to keep peace in Europe. At the moment I am still inclined to vote "IN" but the politicians here are certainly not winning hearts and minds on either side.
The debate needs to be more positive! All I hear are fear and uncertainty.

EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
It is now 10 weeks until people in the UK hold a referendum to decide
whether or not to stay in the EU. At the moment I am voting "IN" but I
have been appalled by the campaigns so far. What comes across are fear
and uncertainty. No-one seems to have anything positive to say! I hope this changes.

That EU referendum - NOT amateur radio
See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36024492
As a "floating voter" in the coming EU referendum I am not impressed by the £9M government publication going to each home and the negativity of the "IN" campaign.
Surely if staying in is a good thing, there are positive messages, not just more negative comments, that can be shared? My instinct is to vote "IN" but I may well change my mind. I have a brain and intend to use it. I need to hear positive reasons to stay in the EU. All this negativity is counter-productive.
UPDATE 1850z: I got this in the last hour. Apparently, if you return the leaflet to the freepost address, the Conservative Party gets billed for the postage:

EU referendum in June - NOT amateur radio
My intention was to vote to remain IN, although I am less sure than I was. At the moment I really have no idea which way I shall vote. Any result would not surprise me. The IN campaign has been very negative so far. They need to be sending a more positive message or people will vote OUT. There are lots of messages about the risks of leaving and very few about the positives of staying IN.
