The photo shows Compass Head in the Shetland Islands. It was on 365project yesterday. Shetland is the most northerly part of Scotland and at one time belonged to Norway, a country with which these islands have close links even today.

In the UK we have a great variety of scenery. Shetland has few trees because of the high winds. Nonetheless, it has a certain unique beauty.
There are few trees on Shetland and often gales and poor weather. Summer days are long as are winter nights.
