10m QRP WSPR (Tuesday)

My 10m WSPR TX beacon is back on at 500mW.  500mW seems like QRO compared with 500uW!!  At 1045z, no spots.

UPDATE 1132z:  12 spots of my 500mW. Reports suggest 500uW would not be copied. 50mW would have got some spots, even 5mW.

UPDATE  1738z:  34 spots of me.

UPDATE  1915z:
Quite a few stations might have copied me at 500uW (see table).

500uW 10m WSPR (Thursday)

Yet again, I have had my beacon running with the PA off so the output is about 500uW.  So far, and I suspect all day now, no spots.

10m QRP WSPR TX (Friday)

When I go on 8m FT8, I forget that I can still go on 10m WSPR TX with my 500mW  W5OLF WSPR beacon. It has just been turned on.

UPDATE 1610z:  So far today,  no spots of me.

UPDATE 1700z:  No spots, so synchronised timing again. WSPRnet issue? Others don't seem to be having a problem. I was expecting some spots by now.

10m WSPR QRP TX (Monday)

In the end, there was a quite good 10m Es opening on 10m yesterday.

Following the comment by Bas, I have changed the image format. I hope it is readable.

10m WSPR QRP TX

Yet again (at 0850z) I am on 10m WSPR TX with 500mW from my W5OLF beacon. No spots yet.

UPDATE 1115z:   Still no spots of me today.

UPDATE 1845z:   Just local G4WSZ and the 2 Canary Is stations today. These latter 2 look like F2. Again, no Es here today.

10m Es

For about an hour, I have been on 10m WSPR QRP TX with 500mW from my W5OLF beacon. Already, there have been 9 unique people spotting me. The Es season is underway!

UPDATE 1130z:   12 unique stations have spotted me so far. Definitely mostly, if not all,  Es.

Sunspots and 10m - Thursday May 28th 2015

Sunspot number has dropped like a stone to just 24 (K=1) and 10m propagation is "poor". No F2 DX seen today.  Only Es seen here has livened up the 10m band.

6m WSPR - very quiet

Apart from a spot yesterday evening at 2002z from G6AVK (78km), 6m WSPR has been very quiet here. I am still using an ERP of around 1W from my V2000 vertical. This should reach most DX stations on WSPR.  No GDX spotted, or spotting me, overnight. I'll stick with the band today in the hope of some Es later.

UPDATE 1110z:   I spotted 2E0BMG (62km) several times this morning. Doppler suggests aircraft reflections were involved.  Judging by the Doppler, I think aircraft were involved.

UPDATE 1820z:   G4FGJ (44km) has been exchanging 6m WSPR spots with me around teatime.

10m USA WSPR spots - Feb 5th 2015

The first USA station to spot my 10m 500mW WSPR beacon today was WG2Z (5600km) at 1246z. Although open yet again across the north Atlantic - it has been open most afternoons now for months - today only feels "average" today on 10m WSPR.

UPDATE 1722z:   At the moment KC1AWS (5308km) was the last USA station to spot my 500mW 10m beacon at 1714z.  It is still quite early, so other stations may still copy me in the USA later.

UPDATE 1830z:   I am still being spotted by USA stations. The latest spot was by KC1AWS at 1826z but there are others too. 10m is still open transatlantic.

UPDATE 2100z:  The last USA station to spot my 10m 500mW WSPR beacon today was W8QYT (5798km) at 1838z tonight. Time to go QRT on 10m WSPR.

6m WSPR - but so little activity

At 1044z, I returned to 6m WSPR but when I turned it on there were just 4 stations on TX in the entire world transmitting on 6m: this is pathetically few.  I hope more people join me soon. So far just local G4IKZ (18km) spotting me. There needs to be a scattering of stations to spot any Es.

As I write this, there are now 7 TX stations plus 3 on RX on 6m.

On the WSPR RX screen there are no wispy traces suggesting weak Es or GDX - nothing currently,
