Democratic Bluenamy

It looks like President Trump has been dealt a stinging verdict in the midterm elections. 

It is not clear if this is a vote on Democrat policy. To me it looks like a vote against Trump. 

In the next 2 years the Democratic Party has to decide on a Presidential candidate. They have several younger potential Democratic candidates, but these hold different positions politically; left wing and centralist. What they need is a candidate that can unite the party and country.

Midterm elections

In a few weeks time the USA is expected to vote in the midterm elections. Assuming these go ahead, they could affect the mix in congress and even the senate. 

Assuming President Trump does nothing to interfere, the Democrats could hold the balance of power, which could severely "clips the wings" of President Trump.
