Just now I watched a video on YouTube about space travel.
It made the point that distances are huge and even if we reach speeds approaching that of light, it would take so long that a human space traveller, even with time dilation for the traveller, would arrive back on Earth millions of years in the future.
Even unmanned probes do not solve this problem. Inter-stellar travel really poses all sorts of problems. Essentially any such space travellers have a one way ticket.

I do not think we know enough to say that practical space travel is possible or imposdible.
There are even designs for warp drives that pass peer review, they just require enourmous amounts of energy.
In the early 15th and 16th century's sailors went on voyages that lasted 3 or more years and lost 80% of the departing crews.
The capacity of human adventure and ingenuity knows no bounds. We just have to survive the next 100 years.
