Recently I have been watching several videos on YouTube supposed to be the sayings of Albert Einstein. The trouble is we can’t be sure he ever said these words!
It is now very easy to make videos, photos and texts with AI, The trouble is these AI generated images and words are often believed. So, disinformation is spread.
I am sure there are lots of good things that become possible with AI where lots of data has to be processed quickly, but there are also great dangers.
We now have to treat EVERYTHING we see with scepticism sadly.

Very true, I saw a comment the other day that within 12 months it's expected 50% or more of new YouTube videos will be AI generated.
The problem is that it's possible to generate a YouTube video just by telling AI the subject you want covered. People are doing this simply to get clips because income=clicks. The more subjects you can generate videos about the more money you will make.
I believe some people are running a hundred YouTube channels already, the only limit is their ability to think of subjects. It does not matter if the subject has been covered a hundred times already and apparently there is no need for accuracy as well. You get paid on views and clips not accuracy or originality of the subject.
I had noticed a lot of new YouTube channels coming on line, many with worn out subjects and poorly put together videos. There was some hope that youtube would crack down on it but no they seemed to have embraced it.
If these trends continue I think it likely that YouTube will eventually drive itself out of existence.
