Whilst it lasts, the Es season is fun. In the northern hemisphere this usually peaks in May, June and July. After a while people get used to the openings around Europe and look further afield. Openings to North America seem to occur quite often. Some of these openings are multi hop Es although I believe some are some kind of E layer chordal hop.
Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.

Yesterday morning there was an opening between New Caledonia and Skandinavia on 6m. What kind of propagation do you think it was? 73, Bas PE4BAS
No idea what propagation those really long paths are !! Definitely not Es!
