MLS is advertising Bird wattmeters and inserts . Now, I understand dealers have to make a profit, but what incredible prices! At work we just used them and I had no idea how much they cost. There is no way I would buy one now!!

Same as you, used them a lot in Radio Engineering and surprised how much people are asking for them, bizarre !
I suppose if you have got 5K to waste on a rig, what's another 1K if you are prepared to chuck your money around?
Silly really, when some folk are starving.
