8m QRP WSPR (Thursday)

At about 1550z, I changed to 8m WSPR. I am running 2W on 40.680 MHz (20% RX, DF about 1550 Hz in the WSPR window). Already spotted by HC02 (1808km) in S.Portugal quite well. Nobody spotted on RX. I shall probably be on until about 1845z.

UPDATE 1724z:  8 spots so far from HC02. Getting weaker now.

You disappeared around 1710z here.Had a brief 10mW WSPR signal reception from Costas in Athens about an hour before. There seems very little 8 metre activity this year compared with last!

That is my impression too Hugh.

I guess those of us with licences have already found the limits of their systems. I was (and still am) hoping that we will see many more getting on 8m TX within ISM limits using modes like WSPR.

If there are fewer stations on 8m FT8 this Es season, I may concentrate on WSPR instead.
