8m GB3MCB beacon

This is being copied in Eire by EI9KP by weak tropo, but after several days I have had no sign here in East Anglia. I only have a low dipole and it is obviously too weak for tropo and with MS or aircraft, I almost certainly need more time for a decode on FT8.

I shall try again when there is a decent MS shower, hoping the Doppler doesn't kill the FT8!

Hi Roger
I think your best chance is FT8 on (weak) tropo. MS pings will distort the FT8 data stream and make it undecodable. If you have audio on it is easy to hear the pings.
GB3MCB also had a beacon running on 60.300 MHz, again FT8 + carrier. The FT8 message is "GB3MCB IO70OJ".
I have received both today on what I believe is weak tropo, -19dB to -13dB. My distance to GB3MCB is 496km.
