As human beings we all experience consciousness. To us, this means experiences and memories. We have no comprehension of how other sentient creatures think. What does a pigeon or an ant think? Do they think? What is consciousness?

Scientists can't even agree on what "consciousness" is, this is where state of the art Artificial Intelligence is stuck right now.
Some "scientists" argue that "consciousness" lives on after our bodies die, there is, however, absolutely no evidence that this is the case.
Personally, I think that it's a by product of the function of the brain, and when the brain stops, so do we.
My two pence, anyway.
