Lincoln High Street - NOT amateur radio

To those unfamiliar with Lincoln, it is dominated by the cathedral on the hill that is approached by a very steep hill. By steep, I really mean steep. If you have weak heart, you will struggle.

The photo shows Lincoln High Street before the steep climb starts. The cathedral can be seen and heard from a long way off.

I live near to Lincoln Castle and walk down Steep Hill to get into town. Going downhill with empty shopping bags is easy; coming back up with full ones - not so much…! There are alternative routes back, but they seem to just drag on and on; thank goodness there are several bus routes available.

By the way, did you notice the antennas on top of the main cathedral tower? They are for our local 2m, 70cm, and amateur TV repeaters as well as a commercial operator and the local community radio station.

Regards,
Keith

I shall have to look at my photos again Keith as I did not spot those repeater antennas!
