Just now, I had to go to the local post office to do 3 things (1) post a card, (2) post a parcel, (3) buy some stamps.
It was cold and wet and there was a big queue outside because of Covid-19. Stamps are expensive these days!
It is definitely winter.

UK postage prices rise again come January:
From 1 January 2021, stamp prices will increase as follows: A first-class stamp for a standard letter will rise by 9p (12%) from 76p to 85p. A second-class stamp for a standard letter will rise by 1p (2%) from 65p to 66p. A first-class stamp for a large letter will rise by 14p (12%) from £1.15 to £1.29.
