8m band

It was reported that the Eire 40MHz beacon has been copied in Austria. I have no idea if a crossband QSO followed. Some stations have been granted special permission to operate on 8m.

Interesting Roger. I believe 40 MHz is used for RC remote control of toys, model planes and cars.

Suspect many administrations would be sympathetic to spot frequencies and low power on a non interference basis.
