Damn Black Friday - NOT amateur radio

In the UK we DO NOT WANT it!!! This is a USA thing with the motive of making us spend more sooner. In my view, this is just about money making.

what started years ago as something in Chicago Illinois has now spread world wide much to the chagrin of many.

Not only "Black Friday" sales but "pre Black Friday" specials, "Black Friday Week" sales, and other chains have their own variation like "Red Friday Sales", and so on.

It is now just going on the end of the second week of November. The stores have had Christmas music and all their Christmas stock on display since Halloween.

I used to like Christmas, still do; I try to support all the good charities year round but especially so at this time of year.

But all of this non-stop pushing of advertising and "buy buy buy" just makes me wish it to all go away.
