The trouble is people are prepared to buy at the current price and, like the FT817 from Yaesu, it has no real competition. It is almost as if the dealers have been "got at" to hold the current price.
One thing is certain: if I buy at the current price they will all offer it for far less within 6 weeks!

Wait until Yaesu are in the SDR game, price willl soon fall.

But when?
The FTDX101D will lead their way forward in the market later this year, and I guess over the next two years after, most of the range will slowly follow the change to SDR tech.
Not long to wait eh, but you will be so Network Radio struck by then, all your HF rigs will be sold or hidden away under the bed.
