Useful info on Steve G1KQH's blog

Steve has some useful links to the new 2m extension NoV (on the RSGB website) and to the draft manual for the new LNR Precision HF rig. See http://g1kqh.blogspot.co.uk/ .

Still can't work out why they have allocated the entire 1MHz Bandwidth to Digital Comms? Can't analogue folk have an experiment up there too?

My mind boggles how these folk think who write these Bandplans!

So is someone going to suggest an additional WSPR channel in the new band (Use it or loose it, I'm thinking.)

Ken, only 200Hz is needed for WSPR and where it is is OK. I have found frequency stability is a MAJOR issue on 2m WSPR. Ideally, stations using WSPR on 2m need GPS locking.

I am amazed that we have got an additional 1MHz at 2m (even if only for a while and by NoV) as the 2m band is usually very quiet here.
