160m FT8 RX overnight

Once again I was keeping an eye on 160m FT8 RX last evening and overnight. In all, 383 stations were spotted, but nothing again from North America.

My gear was turned on at about 1800z.

UPDATE 2220z:  257 stations spotted with the best, again, UA4CC (3100km).

Cyber attacks

There have been a spate of cyber-attacks on supermarket freezers across Europe of late. I do not know who is behind these. 

Whist these will hit supermarkets hard, far worse is possible, so states have to be on their guard and have contingency plans.

For a change I am monitoring 27.265MHz FT8 RX. I have spotted stations here on CB FT8 in the past.

UPDATE 1738z:  Spots from Canada, Brazil and the USA.  CB FT8 is alive and well. See map.

Christmas present?

The Pebble HF is a low cost transceiver for either 40m or 20m. If has most parts already fitted leaving just 12 parts to assemble. It does CW and SSB at 5W.

160m FT8 RX overnight

My gear was running overnight. In all, 299 stations spotted, mostly in Europe, but nothing transatlantic again. Switching to 10m 1W FT8 shortly.
