Granddaughter time - NOT amateur radio
I don't think this has been on before. If it has, apologies.
Our grandchildren are growing up fast and I know she will not want to do this for ever. Whilst I can, I am enjoying it.

One of our grandaughters - NOT amateur radio
Yesterday we went to Kent to see our son and family. They live east of Canterbury in a cottage dating from the 1700s.
Our granddaughter likes dancing and has a fine voice when she sings. The photo shows her in her front garden.

Drawing - NOT amateur radio
Not sure if this photo was on the blog recently. If it has been on before, my apologies.
It shows our younger granddaughter drawing in the garden in the May sunshine.

Fun - NOT amateur radio
Our granddaughter put this on my wife's head and laughed! Funny how certain things appeal to the humour of a very young child.
They grow up all too soon.

Worse spots to read? - NOT amateur radio
This was our granddaughter earlier reading on our windowsill. There are worse backdrops!
I think this is a book she brought from home.

Granddaughter finding painted pebble - NOT amateur radio
Yesterday I mentioned the craze for hunting painted pebbles hidden around our village.
This is our granddaughter finding one a few days ago.

Granddaughter - NOT amateur radio
We know that childhood is transitory. Already our 2 grandson's are changing, whereas one they were very close. Already we can see signs of innocence lost.
Our 2 granddaughters are still little, but we know this cannot last. For now, we are making the most of them being very little. In the photo, one of the 2 grandchildren is reading a comic.

Maths - NOT amateur radio
Our elder granddaughter (5) doing maths with granny at the kitchen table. She is very keen to learn - our granddaughter that is. I think granny has done enough maths!

No amateur radio
At the moment I am unable to do any amateur radio operation in my shack for the next few days.
Firstly, my shack has been taken over to house my 2 year old granddaughter in her cot.
Secondly, the XP shack PC seems to have terminally died. It has served me well for very many years, but now is the time to replace it. The new PC is apparently ready and is in the process of being delivered.
My little granddaughter goes back home on Wednesday and my new PC is likely to arrive shortly afterwards. I will need to load WSPR and other software and check all is well with the new machine. As a 64 bit Win 8.1 machine, some software may prove incompatible.
