The photo collage shows the village of Dalham near Newmarket on this day 4 years ago. It is a pretty village with lots of thatched cottages.

Walks nearby - NOT amateur radio

Whilst keeping a safe distance from others, we are enjoying outdoor walks.

Today we went to Dalham, near Newmarket. Trees are coming into leaf and nature carries on.

On a positive note, I expect this latest set of bans has had a good effect on the planet. In some ways we have been alerted by over-dependence on cheap labour on the other side of the globe for our supply chains.

We seem to be kinder to each other too.

Dalham - NOT amateur radio

At the weekend we did a short walk at Dalham, a village not too far from us. It is a delightful village with many fine cottages. Years ago, many would have been poor hovels for farm workers. These days they are probably very well equipped and very expensive.

Daffodils - NOT amateur radio

We still have several weeks of winter, but daffodils in flower promise spring and new life. These were in Dalham, a delightful village not far from here, where we did a walk earlier today.

Fallen tree - NOT amateur radio

A few days ago we went for a walk at Dalham. The photo shows our "London" grandchildren enjoying a fallen tree on the walk.

Dalham - NOT amateur radio

Yesterday we did a short walk at nearby Dalham, not far from Newmarket. As mentioned before, this is a "chocolate box" village with lots of well tended thatched cottages. Sadly, I think the pub is struggling these days.

Dalham Walk

View from Dalham church
Today we walked from the delightful village of Dalham up to the village church. I have updated our East Anglian Churches blog to include this.  Dalham is a truly beautiful village not too far from Newmarket. It is in Suffolk.
