 My gear was turned on a few minutes ago.

6m 5W FT8 (Sunday)

For the first time in several weeks, I am on 6m FT8  with my vertical omni V2000 antenna and the IC-705.

UPDATE 1640z:   Just 3 English spots of me so far. No DX.

Yesterday was quite a good day with spots by 49 stations across Europe spotting my 5W to the omni vertical. See map.

 My IC-705 at 5W to the V2000 omni was turned on late morning.

UPDATE 1525z:  spotted by 11 stations with the best OE6JCG (1256km).

6m 5W FT8 (Friday)

 My gear was turned on at about 1020z.

UPDATE 1136z: So far, spotted by 7 English stations and 1 in Wales.

My gear was turned on at  1435z.

UPDATE 1441z:  Spotted by no stations? Odd. Perhaps a reset is called for.

UPDATE 1450z:  PC reset. But spotted by G8SEI (133km) 11 minutes ago, so perhaps things were fine.

6m 5W FT8 (Saturday)

 My gear was turned on about 5 minutes ago.

UPDATE 1509z:  So far, spotted by just 5 English stations.  Best DX is 171km away. This could be aircraft reflection , scatter, or normal flat-band tropo. Of course for a two-way QSO the path has to be open for long enough for the basics to be exchanged i.e. several minutes.

6m 5W FT8 (Friday)

In a few moments I will turn on my 5W 6m FT8 gear. It is now 1027z.

UPDATE 1046z: So far 5 English stations have spotted me.

 My gear was turned on after breakfast.

UPDATE 1540z:  15 stations spotting me with plenty in mainland Europe.

6m 5W FT8 (Sunday)

 My gear was turned on about 1225z.

UPDATE 2055z: Spotted by 10 stations, mostly in England with one in Germany. QRT soon.

6m 5W FT8 (Wednesday)

 My gear was turned on at 1111z.

UPDATE 1510z:  So far, spotted by 12 stations in 4 countries.

6m 5W FT8 yesterday

Yesterday was good on 6m FT8, with lots of Europeans spotting my FT8. I am not sure of the propagation, but often there is a small peak in Es around now. Don't ask me why as I don't know! I use 5W to the V2000 vertical omni via CB coax.

 My gear was turned on at about 1005z.

UPDATE 1012z: So far, 4 English spots of  me.

6m 2W WSPR (Saturday)

 At about 1442 I QSYed to 6m QRP WSPR.

UPDATE  1447z: Spotted by 2 English stations.

6m 2W WSPR (Friday)

 WSPR is not a mode I widely use on 6m, so I thought I would try it. My gear was turned on at about 1445z.

UPDATE 1456z: Spotted by 2 stations so far, both English.
