160m FT8 RX overnight

Overnight I was on 160m FT8 RX. In all, 303 stations were spotted as the map shows.  This was with the untuned 10m antenna.

 At about 2000z, I started on 160m FT8 RX using the untuned 10m antenna.  At 2050z, 54 stations spotted. All were European

At bedtime I turned off my 160m FT8 RX using the 10m antenna. In all, 237 stations were spotted. 

There would probably have been USA stations later, but I went QRT.

I QSYed to 160m FT8 RX with the 10m antenna and have been on for about 90 minutes.  So far, 186 stations spotted.

160m FT8 QRP (Tuesday)

Using 2.5W and the 10m end fed antenna, I was copied by 4 stations with the furthermost G4MSA (222km). On RX, 101 stations spotted at 2058z, with the furthermost 4X1UF (3513km). 

UPDATE 2140z:  147 stations spotted on 160m FT8 RX this evening.

160m FT8 QRP (Monday)

The 10m antenna turns out to have quite a reasonable SWR on 160m.  

Just for fun, I tried a few CQs on 160m FT8 TX with this antenna and was spotted by 2E0VDS (30km) and G0BNR (37km). 

On 160m FT8 RX 32 stations spotted by 1955z, after about 15 minutes!

UPDATE 2118z:  157 stations spotted on 160m FT8 RX.

160m FT8 RX (Tuesday)

I have just QSYed to 160m FT8 RX. 3 stations spotted so far including 2 Germans calling a station in the Far East. It is still daylight here. Probably things will get lively after dark.

UPDATE 1652z: 15 stations spotted on 160m FT8 RX using the untuned 10m wire antenna with the furthermost RD9D (3664km).

UPDATE 1917z:  146 stations spotted.

UPDATE 2140z:  327 stations spotted.

160m FT8 RX in the last 12 hours

Overnight I was on 160m FT8 RX with the non-resonant 10m antenna. In all 499 stations were spotted, but fewer USA stations than I expected.

This evening, I am on 160m FT8 RX using the 10m antenna. So far (at 2117z) 355 stations spotted with the furthermost HS0ZNR (9696km).

UPDATE 2220z:  428 stations spotted including 1 in the USA.

160m FT8 RX

This was a good session on 160m FT8 RX. In all, 546 stations were spotted including many in the USA.  Much to my surprise, I had left the 10m antenna plugged in, so this was on a very short, non-resonant antenna!

160m FT8 later?

For the last few days I have been in Sheffield for a funeral. We return home shortly. I hope to be on 160m FT8 RX later.

UPDATE 2211z: 222 stations spotted this evening with the furthermost RW9JZ (4318km).

160m FT8 RX (Friday)

This evening and overnight, I hope to be on 160m FT8 RX using the coax tp my 2m big-wheel and a ferrite rod ATU. I have been on for about 20 minutes. At 2043z, 79 stations spotted.

160m FT8 RX with the active antenna

As 6m and 10m seem to be dead now, I have QSYed to 160m FT8 RX. I shall probably leave it running overnight. At 2011z, 70 stations spotted.

UPDATE 2108z:  86 stations spotted on RX today.

Overnight, I was on FT8 RX again. 201 stations were spotted in total as the map shows. 

Nothing "across the pond".

160m FT8 RX (Saturday)

After 10m closed for DX, I QSYed to 160m FT8 RX with the Wellgood active loop. At 1900z (after about 25 minutes) 54 stations had been spotted with the furthermost YO3APJ (2073km).

 At 1840z, I QSYed from 6m FT8 to 160m FT8 RX using the indoor Wellgood active loop.

UPDATE 1915z:  So far, 25 stations have been spotted on 160m FT8 RX with the furthermost UA4HTZ (3293km).

160m FT8 RX overnight

Using the active Wellgood loop indoors, I was on 160m FT8 RX overnight. In all, 147 stations spotted, but none "across the pond".

Having gradually gone to lower and lower frequencies, I have settled on 160m FT8 RX. So far, 17 stations spotted with the furthermost YL1ZF (1605km).

Overnight with the indoor Wellgood loop, 308 stations spotted, but nothing from "across the pond".

160m FT8 RX (Thursday)

Since teatime I have been on 160m FT8 RX with the active Wellgood loop on the shack window. So far (at 1939z) 86 stations spotted with the furthermost RN7T (3082km).
