One of my friends on 365.org lives in the Shetland Isles and posts some interesting photos.
Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.
They get plenty of weather up there interspersed with decent days. There is plenty of wind and just a few trees.
The days are short and the wind can really blow, but he comes up with shots like this!
This is another spectacular photo from the Shetland Is by Richard Lewis that appeared on 365project.
I have done 365project for over 10 years and it is great to look back!
These northerly islands in Scotland are characterised by long days in summer and long nights in winter. Wind can be very strong.
One of the people I follow posted this photo on 365project today.
My beacon was turned on at about 0945z. UPDATE 1022z: 2 stations have spotted me. Yhese look like F2.
