Pasties

As a west countryman from Devon I love pasties. We occasionally make our own, but usually buy Ginsters which are not a bad pasty. For the VERY best pasty, you will be hard pressed to beat those made in the west of England by Ivor Dewdney. Fifty years ago I remember a trip shopping in Plymouth wasn't complete without eating one of these! They are still made the traditional way, by hand. Heck, I could eat one now.

  1. Dont start, your making me hungry, I could live on pasties, what better treat is there than visiting a town in Devon or Cornwall and buying some hot pasties, I usully buy a couple more for another lunch when we get home, fantastic !

  3. Big Gun DXer, you'll have to explain this to me. A pasty is something you eat over here.

  4. Oh my, I've tasted one of those at the little restaurant besides Tintagel castle in 2001. Can't get these in the Netherlands I believe. Have to discuss this with my XYL. She's the cook of the house. I really have to taste a pasty again. Thanks for the picture!
