In the late 1960s Heathkit made some great radios. Take, for example, the SB101.
Then the Japanese started making transceivers that meant there was little difference in making a kit. Most bought a ready made transceiver instead.
Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.
