Simple QRP projects, 10m, 8m, 6m, 4m, FT8, 160m, WSPR, LF/MF, sub-9kHz, nanowaves and other random stuff, some not related to amateur radio.
Very close to our quiet part of the village is this delightful green. One of the trees has half its leaves of a different colour.

Hi Roger:
I was reading the specs for the BAZ Spezialantennen LF/VLF ferrite antennas and it mentions that they can be used on transmit for “small power levels.” Unfortunately it doesn’t say how small! I know you experimented with ferrite antennas before, so do you have any thoughts regarding using such an approach at 475kHz for WSPR applications?
Regards,
Keith G0RQQ
Keith - I am not familiar with this antenna, but it should work as long as the ferrite does not saturate. It is going to be some way down on a "real" antenna.
Agreed! I would wonder how it would compare with earth probe antennas; also it would provide the novel concept of a rotatable 630m antenna.....😄
