Long hair - NOT amateur radio

Our 12 year old grandson insists on having long hair. My wife cannot stand it, but this is what he wants.

Although not quite a teenager, he is quite like one in many ways. I guess we are wasting time arguing with him about it.

    I wanted long hair fifty years ago when I was ten. I've had long hair since I was 11, as long as it got. Except I lost most of it last year, stress or malnutrition, but maybe it was the chemotherapy.

    It does seem to be coming back, I can't even remember how long it took decades ago to get long. But I don't plan to change it, last year was a temporary setback.
