This is the "holy grail" of renewable energy. These days solar and wind energy are cost effective, but they are not always there when you need them. Crack storage and renewables will be the way to go. There just may be an answer. At the moment this is an MIT project.

How much does it all cost? Because that is the game clean and green, but the trade off to all this is double or treble your bill?

Here on my doorstep we have Rugeley B, which was a perfect up to date modern Coal clean burning station now being stripped :

Of course we know the game with coal in the UK, political! Nothing to do with green, make one thing for certain we run on 50% gas now in the UK and we know where most of that comes from, close down the gas pressure and then what?

How much CO2 does it emit with clean burn?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't burn anything anymore because it's being scrapped! Just remember when the windmills don't turn and your lights go out, think of Rugeley B and the likes that will all be offline in the UK by 2025, but how is the shortfall going to be met?
