Over the years, several people have asked me about this radio. Back in the 1970s I was involved in the design team.
It was made famous in a TV series called "The Professionals".
The PF8 manual is also available as a downloadable file at the bottom of my page on my main website.

A neat and innovative design for a specific requirement. It actually has some advantage over more sophisticated designs. I have a miniature VHF/UHF transceiver with extended receive coverage. It's amazing what has been packed in to it. Trying to operate it in cold weather with it's many tiny buttons can be fraught with frustration as it goes off frequency to another channel and a different mode. SMA connectors are compact but try finding adapters that fit properly. Although single channel designs can be restrictive for amateur use, they still have their uses. Well done and thanks for sharing the information about them.
