President Lincoln Mk2 (V3) - 2 year warranty period
Not only has the price of this 10m transceiver dropped to £199, but John Gordon of Nevada has confirmed that the warranty period on these transceivers is 2 years. I am seriously tempted.
Pedro, you have nothing to lose, although I suggest you let the rig stabilise its frequency first. Maybe leave it on RX for 30-40 minutes before attempting TX?
Go on be a devil! :-)

I have the president lincoln Mk1 and is fantastic. Its my psk receiver
ReplyDeleteI owned the Mk1 version and worked all over the world with it, including a VU on SSB whilst moving in the car around Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteTempted? As my old dad said. "If you have an itch, scratch it".
ReplyDeleteI had an itch to have an Argonaut 509 again. Just did!
What do think about i use my MK1 on psk 31 or outher digital modes ?
ReplyDeleteWhen I owned a Mk1 Lincoln it was never tried on digital modes - it mainly was used on USB, AM and FM modes.
ReplyDeleteI suspect my Mk2 will be mainly used on speech modes when my voice is better. I suspect the claimed drift may make it marginal for digital modes?
Do you think i should no try to make some transmitions tests ?
