Night watch on 10m
Overnight, I ran WSPR on 10m just for fun. Although my 2W wasn't spotted until 0600, a couple of Germans were spotted here around 0400 presumably by Es or MS. Without modes like WSPR such brief night time openings would go unnoticed.
It's sometimes incredible what time there are paths opening to anywhere on 10m. I remember a middle in the night (morning 4 am) QSO with Canberra, Australia once. Signals 5/7 without QSB, no other station anywhere on the band that time! 73, Bas
